another charming property in the neighborhood of linnéstaden from göteborg. this shade of gray in the living room with white wood flooring is simply gorgeous.

i can move in to this living room without changing anything. (well okay, if i have to be picky maybe i will change the rug…)

i can move in here… light wood & rusty coral

i haven’t really seen any project recently that would trigger the “i can move in here” button. and here we go – this AMAZING property in uppsala, sweden ( uppsala is the fourth largest city of sweden, after stockholm, gothenburg and malmö ) is beyond the dream: very crisp interior style with shades of nude and rusty coral color scheme. the layout of the house is simple and efficient. the vintage modern style is still the winning secret ingredient for a chic, modern home.

a lovely parisian apartment renovated by paris-based architecture studio septembre has the minimal interior style accentuated with varied flooring materials. all rooms are linked by a corridor through out the full length of the apartment.

my favorite two corners are the kitchen and bathroom.

the concrete flooring in the kitchen with grey cabinets,  marble countertop and backsplash that matches the surface of the dining table.

happy monday!

we finally have our new front windows & door installed…! yay and yay! the black frame windows and solid black door look really amazing with the original brick wall and the marble lintel and stoops. to celebrate this milestone of our first home improvement, today’s post is all about interior (steel) black frame window/door.

when in doubt, frame it with black. (and you know what i would say for the interior, right? when in doubt, paint it with white!)

i am having two subjects in one post today.

remember the virtual monday post? that’s right, the realization of the project looks JUST LIKE the rendering, in good way! the marble countertop/backsplash with brass trim, framed by black cabinets with brass hardwares… minimal yet rich in materiality, michitecture’s #1 design mantra.

and remember the atrium house by tham & videgård arkitekter featured back in 2012?  stockholm-based architecture office TVARK’s book looks perfect in one of the HG7 project, packhuset. you can look inside the book here via idea books.nl (which offers really awesome book preview). buy the book from amazon(US).

happy sunday!

hello hello, my dear michitecutre-ninjas out there! hard to believe it has been over a month since my last post… it sounds like a cliche statement, but finding time to do something for myself that is not house/or work-related between work and little bean, became a such luxury. aaaaanyway, all i wanted to say is so nice to be here again! hopefully my next post will be up sooner than a month.

today i wanted to share this chic & cozy loft from Göteborg. my favorite corner? the chair by the window with deep marble window silt…
