recently i came across this interview of norwegian-canadian architect todd saunders’s own family house in bergen, norway.

people always imagine that a architect’s house must be the most spectacular or precious project the architect ever designed. as to saunder, the most important thing was to create a house that could fit into the neighborhood.

the interior style is sort of minimal, but accentuated with bold & colorful statement furniture/accessories. here in the kitchen the black and white tube ceiling pendant with folky rug deco is a great example.
