we heart vintage modern!
a lovely residence located in suburb melbourne australia in a walking distance to albert park and the beach, whiting architects transformed a 19 century edwardian-style old building into a modern & cozy family house that is not only beautiful but functional.
special thanks to carole whiting, creative director of whiting architects, who kindly shared the images with michitecture!
✚ a elegantly played level change connects the ground and second floor ✚ some of my favorite elements in the kitchen/dining area including wide oak floor, adaptable table by TAF for muuto, and marble counter top with white lower cabinets.
✚ a gray-theme bedroom with dark stained baltic pine floors ✚ E27 pendants from muuto above the fabric-covered headboard ✚ tom dixon off cut stool natural: the rounded top makes use of the curved and irregular pieces of discarded wayney edged wood… i still cannot decide which version i should own: fluoro or natural?
✚ bathroom with black claw leg bathtub, black faucet, and patterned black and white tile ✚ the dots by muuto
