home goods

two weekends ago (the 60 degree beautiful saturday if you remember) j and i finally had a chance to stop by our friends sary (interior designer) and eric (architect)’s new venture HOME, a place brings you the unique finds of furniture, lighting and home accessories. the store is a newbie to the east passyunk neighborhood (just opened its door in late november 2012) but already been topped as “best 30” in racked philly.

if you like your place to be a mix of new and old, vintage and modern – then you will find here home.

+ where is HOME? 1815 East Passyunk Avenue Philadelphia PA

+ up and close: besides some well-established brands like ferm living or dwell studio, there are also locally made furniture or flea-market found posters to be explored. (e.g. the molded chair in the very front right on left image… i actually sat on the chair most of time but totally forgot to snap some good images )

home_east-passyunk_philadelphia_interior_2 sary and eric made a such simple and effective transformation to this place from interior to storefront – especially if you’ve seen what the store looked like before they took over. the collection is also very well presented, from cocktail cart to pillows and couch to pendent lights, it makes you feel like you’re visiting a friend’s house where ideas and inspiration are in every details and corners.

home_east-passyunk_philadelphia_interior_3+ sary made an amazing make-over to the settee shown in the image above. you can read the full story here.

though it was a short visit j and i managed to bring home a remix blanket and triangle tea towels from ferm living. ( the blanket by the way is SOOO soft, light-weight and no doubt keeps you warm ) make sure you stop by HOME if you are in and about in philly!

+ more ferm living from my previous posts: wall sticker (2010) and here is the designer trine anderson’s beautiful home (2011)
