many people in these days just want things to be done in a “convenient” or “instant” way, and that is kind of killing me. (i can’t even talk about “microwave food” culture)
it is a cultural thing that i am missing… i still don’t believe drinking coffee from starbucks makes your trendy… anyway. the current issue of japanese magazine ku:nel is titled ” street & coffee”. it is really cool to see these passionate coffee shop owners proudly brew their own coffee (not by machine)…here are some snap shots to share.
and who said you can’t have fresh brewed coffee while picnicking :)
a coffee stand runs by two brothers
neighbors love to enjoy a cup of coffee after dinner… they walk by, chat with owners… it seems a rather poetic thing they’re pursuing than just a business.
also in the magazine there are some nice hand sketches demonstrate how to make french press coffee.
and an editors-recommended coffee map included.
now i am craving to have a nice cup of coffee…
