just received the garden design magazine september/october issue. to be honest, i haven’t read the garden magazine for a long long time, and they must have just revamped the magazine in the past two years – the articles now are getting more relatable (not just gardening and flowers) and a bit more urban ( i used to feel it is targeting the suburban folks not urban dwellers who also wants to do gardening).
so what they’re talking about in the current issue?
from the hip ping-pong table ( is seems playing ping-pong is somehow hip in US these days, associated with beer garden), to outdoor fire place(gorgeous), to a beautiful country home surrounded by prairie field planted with native perennials in allentown,PA… if you’re looking for getting some inspirations about native planting for homes – i am sure you will fall in love with this beautiful project.

✚ outdoor plants to rescue from the coming cold: as dennis schrader (co-founder of landcraft environments in long island,NY) stated, “some plants are just not meant to be brought into the house, period.” there are some very useful information about how to help plants get through the cold days.
