if you haven’t check out national building museum in washington DC, stop by sometime. the exhibition is on going till september 5, 2011. it’s absolutely $5 worth to visit!
the gallery room is very small, actually, so don’t expect to see hundreds of models here…( but hey, quality is > quantity, right?) anyway, it was really cool to see skyscrapers like john hancock building , sears, burj , spiral, in LEGO world.
even a master classic like falling water can be done in LEGo way…!
and then at the back of galley is my favorite spot- LEGO room! stock piles of LEGO bricks for you to play. (because this is mainly designed for kids, all tables and chairs are lower and smaller… realized how big we grown-up are. )
at the end we spent 2 hours in that room, playing LEGO!!
here’re what i built : a prefab pavilion house (suprisingly LEGO haven’t release solar panel piece…)
yes, j (who happens to be an architect) was being very serious about his LEGO building. well, more like a structure i should say. he probably used all the white blocks in that room. haha
